Harrow Road, London

BPR Architects were instructed by H2O to produce a quality of design that unified the varying architectural styles of the Harrow Road, yet created spaces to live with private amenity overlooking the CRT owned canal. 

H2O Role:

• To commission the design of a scheme in a Conservation Area that was able to blend the modern and traditional street scene.
• To achieve, at appeal, planning permission for nine flats and ground floor commercial space.

Scheme Wins:

• Great flats with generous balconies and terraces with excellent views over the Grand Union Canal.
• As part of H2O, Canal & River Trust have been able to ensure that the building has two fronts, so that the architecture to the canal is as strong as to the road frontage.

The site was sold and subsequently built out.
